Committee Letter From Gary Linton

Golly does time fly by, just realize it has been a year since my last correspondence.  However, over the course of our rodeo season I have visited with many of you while attending your events or by telephone.

Well it is that time of year, we worked the arenas for the last time and the Circuit Finals are a month away in Redmond at the Deschutes County Fair Grounds Hooker Arena.  If you haven’t attended get it on your calendar because it is three days of great rodeo.  As in the past we have a Committee Seminar scheduled on the 21st at 1:00 p.m. in the North Sisters building.  We have some good information for all committees, but the highlight this year is the Commissioner of the P.R.C.A., Karl Stressman, is our guest speaker.  With the miles he has traveled this year we are very pleased he is going to attend.  This is an opportunity for our leadership to hear what we see on the Committee side of the P.R.C.A.  A time for us to give positive reinforcement to the office on issues we need addressed as Committees

Any Committee member attending the seminar will get a pass to the Sunday performance when we will honor rodeo committees from the Circuit and present the small and large rodeos of the year.

Trish, Stacey and I will also have some information for you about new requirements that will need to accompany your approval application this year.  In addition to this we will have a short presentation from the Committee from the Dodge National Circuit Finals rodeo in Pocatello , ID. , this coming April.  If you haven’t been to this event try to schedule it in, it features the top two contestants from each of the 12 Circuits plus top stock.

Look forward to seeing you in Redmond on the 20th, 21st, and 22nd.  Any questions please feel free to drop an email or call, both appear below.

Sincerely,

Gary Linton
